This piece explores the balance between Black women and femininity. Grillz, originating in Black and Latinx communities, have grown in popularity as streetwear has become more mainstream. For me, they represent more than fashion; they are a bold form of self-expression. By painting them, I honor their cultural roots while also using them as a reflection of my own identity and creativity.
